GlobalTravelWallet celebrates it 2nd year in Ghana as we continue to help forex bureaux in Ghana digitise the process of selling foreign exchange to their customers.

There have been a steady increase in customer demand for GlobalTravelWallet cards because of the reliability and easy of use of the cards. As cardholders become more sophisticated and prefer to have their travel money on a card instead of carrying it as cash, we have seen a sharp increase in customer applications.

One forex bureaux owner said "We sell more forex unto GlobalTravelWallet cards than we sell as cash. We have been provided a robust interface by Card Programs International and it is easy to use. Our customers find it more convenient to get their cash on a card, it is cleaner for us as we minimise how much cash we handle and it does not impact on our exchange rate margins. I really think it is the way to go".

Central Banks in other African countries have contacted Card Programs International to replicate the same type of program in their countries to help expand the government's cashless initiative to non-financial institutions such as Forex Bureaux.
